We integrate energy-efficient processes throughout our facilities, striving to operate in as much harmony with the environment as possible, minimizing waste and embracing circular economy principles. Beyond our environmental efforts, we make sure our sourcing is supported by fair trade practices, preserving the unique Peruvian biodiversity. At Colca Fabrics, sustainability is not just an ideal—it’s the foundation of our work, guiding us as we create garments that honor the legacy of alpaca heritage.

Fair Partnerships

  • We make sure that our suppliers are committed to fair compensation and ethical treatment throughout the fiber sourcing process, before being sold to us.

  • Transparency and integrity guide every partnership, creating mutual trust and shared success.

Wellbeing and Care

  • Safe, inclusive, and empowering workplaces are a priority for all members of the Colca Fabrics family.

  • Through our actions, we aim to inspire a global movement toward responsible consumption and production.

Sustainable Fibers and Craftmanship

  • Alpaca fiber obtainment does not harm the animal, since their fleece is shorn once a year, providing a renewable material without causing any harm.

  • Alpaca farming has a very low environmental impact due to their low grazing and padded feet, reducing soil damage and preventing erosion compared to other livestock. Also, alpacas produce less methane than cows or sheep, and their fiber is 100% biodegradable.

  • Our processes prioritize energy efficiency, low water usage, and waste reduction at every stage

  • By combining traditional techniques with modern innovations, we craft garments designed to last, reducing the need for overconsumption.
